#### VOLUME OF HOLLOW CONCRETE COLUMN

The calculation of the volume of the hollow Concrete column is very easy and simple. For your better understanding lits take this example.

## EXAMPLE:

Let’s take we have a column have a **height 4 m** and the **inner radius of the column is 0.2 m** and **outer is 0.5** **m **so calculate the volume of the Hallow column.

**Given Data:**

H = 4 m.

R = 0.5 m.

r = 0.2 m.

h = **Height** of the hollow column.

R = **Outer radius** of the hollow column.

r = **Internal radius** of the hollow column.

The formula for calculating the volume of hollow column is given below:

**Solution:**

**Volume** = (πR²h – πr²h)

= πh ( R² – r²)

= 3.14 x 4 ( 0.5² – 0.2²) [∵ π =3.14]

= 12.56 ( 0.25 – 0.04)

= 12.56 x 0.21

**= 2.6376 m³ Ans…..**
